| August 8th 2008, Down Town San Francisco. A tournament for Super Smash Brothers Brawl attracted large attention from players not only in the city but from out of state! Check out what a regional sized competitive event for Super Smash Brothers Brawl is like! August 30th was date to Axis Gaming - West Coast Majors for Super Smash Brothers Brawl. As the last regional event of the summer, attendance was threw the roof. Axis gaming set the record as the largest Smash Brothers Brawl tournament to date and has done great to grow the gaming community. Check out what the event was like through CGCGrayfox! Game Spot is hosting a Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter HD Remix Pre-Release event here in San Francisco. Game Spot is rewarding $1000 for the champion of each 64-Man , Single elimination tournament. ( One for Street Fighter 4 and one for Street Fighter HD remix). Though the prize is generous, gamers are excited just on the continuing and growing community through these new Street Fighter titles. The Street Fighter 4 National Championships were held in San Francisco this weekend. top 16 finalist from around the country gathered at Fort Mason to compete for the title of the best. Over 500 people showed up to watch the competition. Spectator's were also treated to free shirts, hats, autographs, and performance's from Supreme Soul, winner of America's Top Dance Crew. The National winner was also put into a exhibition match between 3 other champions from different countries; Korean, Japan and Europe. ( although the European champion was unable to make it so instead they had 2 Japanese champions). Check out the excitement of gaming at it's finest! Sometimes teenagers think their ideas are often ignored. Not so in San Francisco. In 1996 voters passed an initiative to create a Youth Commission to represent the needs of local youth.
